The PH 3/2 Pendant by Louis Poulsen is made of hand-blown opal three layer glass, which is glossy on top and sandblasted mate on the underside, giving the PH 3/2 Pendant a soft and uniform light distribution. The PH 3/2 Pendant is a member of the PH 3-shade family originally designed by Poul Henningsen and Louis Poulsen. The idea behind the PH 3-shade fixture was made in just a few hectic months in the winter of 1925-26. The PH-3 was originally designed for a large exhibition hall in Copenhagen, Denmark called |Forum|. The combination of diffused reflection and a logarithmic shade curve gives the Louis Poulsen PH collection the opportunity to control the fixture's glare and shading, as each shade would evenly decrease the amount of light emitted according to their distance from the bulb also insuring the luminance transitions from the PH 3/2 Pendants shade to shade would appear harmonic.
